Tareeq Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Tareeq, a navigation app published by peshangdev. By using the app you agree to them.

1. Drive safely, follow the law

• Tareeq is a guide. Road signs, traffic police and the law always come first. If a direction is unsafe, illegal or impossible, do not follow it.
• Set your destination before you drive. Do not type, report or handle the phone while driving; ask a passenger, or stop safely first.
• Keep your eyes on the road. Use voice directions.

2. Accuracy

Maps, routes, arrival times, traffic and reports come from open map data, other drivers and our systems. They can be wrong or out of date. Tareeq is provided "as is", without any guarantee that it is accurate, complete or always available.

3. Road reports

You can report accidents, traffic jams, hazards, closed roads, construction and flooding. When you do:

• report only what is real and where you are;
• do not report police, checkpoints or security forces. The app does not allow it, and misusing other report types for this is not permitted;
• do not try to identify, follow or harm anyone.

Reports are anonymous and are removed automatically when they expire or when other drivers reject them. We may remove reports at any time.

4. Fair use

Do not misuse the app or our servers: no automated access, flooding with requests, false reports in bulk, or attempts to break, copy or reverse-engineer the service, except as allowed by the open-source licences listed in the app.

5. Privacy

How the app handles data is explained in the Privacy Policy: https://tareeq.peshangdev.com/privacy.

6. Open-source software

Tareeq uses open-source software and OpenStreetMap data. Their licences are listed in the app under Settings → Open-source licences. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

7. Liability

[To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for loss, damage, fines or injury resulting from use of the app, including following directions or relying on reports.]

8. Changes and ending

We may change these terms or the app. For important changes we will tell you in the app. You can stop using Tareeq at any time by uninstalling it.

9. Law

[These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq.]
